wine tour“The vineyard tour which included tasting wine and foods was a really good experience. Service, communication, the price and the actual wine: all were to our liking. We booked through Irene, and she was very helpful and informative. We met first for a tour of Sperlonga, which was very informative and beautiful in the nice weather. Then we were brought to the vineyard, and we were shown around before we tasted the delicious wines, all in a splendid scenery. Afterwards, Irene even helped us to book a boat trip the next day!”

Boat Tour in Sperlonga“We had a fantastic day with Irene on the wine and boat tour today. A fascinating walk through Sperlonga’s narrow streets learning its history and admiring the beauty of its buildings and views over the turquoise sea. Then we stepped into a boat which took us passed Tiberius’s villa and onto some caves where we could swim and explore with masks and fins. On the return journey we refreshed ourselves with a glass of local wine provided by Irene. Once on dry land Irene took us to a beachside restaurant for lunch. It was a wonderful experience and a joy to find out about Amyclae and the connections to Ancient Greece including Ulysses and Circe.thank you Irene”

“This small but high qualitative company gave us a great experience. At the vineyard Monti Cecubi we learned about the history of the wine and the vineyard. The guide had great knowledge about both the history and the wines, and we were only three persons – so it became a very nice and personal tour. Thank you Irene:)”

Boat Tour Sperlonga“I came across Irene’s website when my mom and I were spending a week in Rome and wanted to take a day trip outside the city. You absolutely must check out Sperlonga with Irene! It is such a beautiful and relaxed (at least on a Monday afternoon) town. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Irene is an excellent guide – she made everything very easy from booking to meeting up and helping us with purchasing tickets for the train after our tour. We started out walking around learning about the history of Sperlonga then took a beautiful boat ride which included a relaxing dip in the crystal clear water and a wine tasting to top it off! Afterwards Irene set us up with a lovely lunch at one of the near by beach clubs. It was definitely the highlight of our entire trip! I can’t wait to come back and go on another tour”.

Wine Tour“I stumbled on the Amyclae Experience in Sperlonga while searching for wineries near Rome. Since we were staying nearby, this tour seemed like a perfect fit. Irene was easy to communicate with, responsive, and flexible. This particular tour was in English. We started with a little background on Sperlonga – Greek mythology and Roman history associated with the area, followed by a walking tour highlighting key points in the historic center. Although there is some climbing involved, the pace is moderate and there are frequent pauses. The view from the top of Torre Truglia is magnificent. Another highlight was a visit to an church that showcases the top of an ancient Roman capital found by a local fisherman on a nearby beach in 2017. And, let’s not leave out the Sorelle Poco Poco. Perhaps the cutest grocery store on earth, run by two friendly sisters, overflowing with beautiful local produce, cold cuts, cheeses…. The winery itself was in a beautiful country setting. After viewing the vines and the winery, our group of 7 sat down to a dining table filled with cheeses, bread, dried sausage to accompany the wines we were tasting. On the return trip, as if on cue, a large herd of goats passed in front of our vehicle. The entire tour was roughly 4 hours. Loved it – highly recommended!”

“Ottimo tour guidato da Irene scrittrice di “Amyclae, il silenzio che uccide”. Un percorso tra i magici vicoli di Sperlonga ascoltando la storia che rivive in ogni nostro passo. Per concludere … la visita in un’azienda vinicola in mezzo alle montagne per degustare i vini del nostro territorio. Un tour da fare senz’ altro…per me da ripetere”.
